In order to keep things fair, we the activities committee have set forth the following rules in regards to Alumni Games participation:
Alumni weekend tshirts have been a tradition of the alumni since the beginning of this event in 2016. These tshirts have provided us with the added touch of unity that we already display just by getting together every year. The union that we continue to display at the Friday night football when we all show up in the traditional white T-shirts with Ram graphics is truly a sight to see. The Saturday tailgate shirts have evolved over the years from odd and even black and gold colors to one union of the same tshirts with only differentiating factor being the representation of the year you graduated high school displayed on the back. The Alumni Board utilizes the proceeds from the T-shirts fundraiser to support our business operation funding. Unfortunately, some do not respect the value in that as they have attempted to duplicate and profit off of our designs; therefore, we display them in black and white to give you a taste of what the shirts will look like. So if you see someone with a slightly different shirt than everyone else, that’s them LOL. We hope that you all continue to support us as the past 7 years have been awesomely successful.
Mr. Demar Milton, class of 2008, is the 2022 winner of the W.C.R.A.R. Tailgate Grill Master competition. With a serving of grilled chicken and ribs, a prestigious judges panel judged all 3 contestant’s entries from a moderately extensive grading criteria produced by Kayla Jefferson of the W.C.R.A.R. Activities Committee. Thanks to Mr. Milton, he and his class of ’08 will hold the Grill Master belt until the next alumni tailgate competition along with all of the well deserved bragging rights! Mr. Milton has joined the ranks of all of our previous belt holders below.
The class of 1997 has won the Alumni Tailgate Themed Tent Decoration contest almost every year since the beginning of the alumni weekend in 2016. The only year they did not win was in 2019 when there was a tie between 1997 and 1983. The winner does not have to pay the required $250 class dues for their tailgate spot the next alumni weekend. Question now is, can they be beaten??? And if so, by who???
